In case you are under local anaesthetic you would be able to communicate with the doctor on how you are feeling while the procedure is going on. You will also be given saline an intravenous drip to prevent you from being dehydrated while the procedure is going on.
Before the incisions are made the liposuction surgeon will mark your body with a surgical marker denoting the areas where fat will be sucked out. Then the targeted areas are injected with painkillers to reduce the risk of bleeding and to minimise pain. Then procedure begins with the probing machine. You may be required to spend the night after the surgery is done.
